Butcher’s Ragout (pork)

Traditional Hungarian pork stew made with tender strips of pork, slowly cooked with onions, garlic, smoked bacon and Hungarian paprika, often finished with pickles and served with pasta or potatoes. Rich, savoury and comforting with a slightly smoky flavour.

• May contains gluten if served with pasta or thickened with flour

Fridge life:

• Store refrigerated at 0–5°C

• Best consumed within 3 days

• Keep in an airtight container

• Reheat thoroughly until piping hot before serving

Freezer life:

• Suitable for freezing for up to 3 months

• Store in airtight freezer containers or sealed food-safe bags

• Defrost overnight in the fridge before reheating

• Reheat thoroughly until piping hot throughout

• Do not refreeze once defrosted
